Mintu Dey, a Bangladeshi artist born in Khulna on March 12, 1978, resides in Dhaka. He graduated in Fine Arts from Khulna University and pursued a master's in drawing and painting at UODA, Dhaka. With three solo exhibitions and participation in numerous national and international shows, Dey has earned accolades for his work. Since 1998, he has specialized in miniature art and also expresses a passion for sculpture and watercolor. Notably, he and his team created 1071 sculptures overnight on March 25, 1971, commemorating the tragic events during the Bangladeshi genocide. Despite his diverse talents, Dey is particularly renowned for his expertise in watercolor painting.
