Imtiaj Shohag, an established artist from Bangladesh, was born in 1973. He earned his BFA from the Institute of Fine Arts in Dhaka before receiving a grant from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000 to pursue further studies in France. He spent a year at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence before gaining admission to the esteemed Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris, graduating with honors in Art-Espace in 2004. During 2002 to 2004, he resided at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris and has since made France his home, where he continues to create and work on his art
