Farida Zaman, born in Chandpur in 1953, is a celebrated artist from Bangladesh renowned for her captivating depictions of rural life and Bangladeshi folk elements. In addition to her artistic prowess, she holds the esteemed position of honorary professor at the Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka. Her remarkable contributions to the world of Bangladeshi art have garnered significant recognition. In 2020, she was honored with the Ekushey Padak by the Government of Bangladesh and received the Sultan Swarna Padak from the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
