Anisuzzaman Faroque

S.M. Saha Anisuzzaman Faroque is a sculptor whose work bridges the sensory and the symbolic—crafting narratives through material and form. Rooted in everyday experience yet reaching toward broader questions of time, memory, and social structures, his sculptures often reimagine food, urban life, and human connection as metaphoric systems.

Faroque’s visual language is built on repetition and reinvention—recurring themes of consumption, environment, and public space emerge in his installations, performances, and object-based works. His artistic voice is shaped by critical experimentation and community-based projects, often aligned with collectives like Britto Art Trust and Back Art Foundation.

His art has been exhibited across Bangladesh, Europe, and Asia, including landmark platforms like Documenta Fifteen (Germany), Kunsthaus Zürich (Switzerland), and Centraal Museum Utrecht (Netherlands).

Awards:

  • Sculpture Best Award, 21st Young Artist Exhibition, Shilpakala Academy (2018)
  • Experimental Best Award, University of Dhaka (2017)
    Collections:
BSMMU, State Guest House Padma, Safiuddin Ahmed Studio, Kumudini Medical College, private collectors in Bangladesh & abroad
    Affiliations:
Member, DU Sculpture Alumni Association | Member, Back Art Foundation
