Abdus Sattar Toufiq, a rising artist from Bangladesh, was born in Barisal on September 6th, 1979. He completed his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Dhaka's Faculty of Fine Arts in 2002. Toufiq has showcased his solo paintings in exhibitions like "Beneath the Black Moon" at The Art Theater Gallery in Seoul, Korea (2014) and "Cryptic Reality," his inaugural solo exhibition at the Zainul Gallery, Dhaka University (2007). Additionally, he has actively participated in numerous group exhibitions including the 19th Asian Art Biennale (2022), the 23rd National Art Exhibition (2019) at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, and collaborative shows like "Emotion of Art," a joint exhibition between Bangladesh and India held at the Bisshaw Shahityo Kendro Art Gallery in 2019, among others.
